First Domestic Postmarketing Venous Position finder Improved Accuracy of Puncture

January 18, 2012 ĦĦĦĦThe first domestic postmarketing venous position finder ACCUVEIN is expected to improve the accuracy of puncture, thereby reducing patients' vessel injury and suffering. ĦĦĦĦVenous position finder ACCUVEIN can be used to detect the veins under the skin with infrared light and make its location clearly visible on the surface of skin, through which the nurses can find suitable veins in both size and location for a successful piercing. Such products have been widely used abroad, which is marketed for the first time in China. ĦĦĦĦThere are 10 million patients who need venous puncture daily in China, which however is a traumatic medical operation. Operation failure leading to patients’ dissatisfaction has occurred frequently. Mr. Wang Jianrong (Íġ½¨ÈÙ), the vice director of Chinese Nursing Association said that nurses should raise their skill level in many aspects and take advantage of the advanced scientific and technological means at the same time to mitigate the patients’ injury and suffering; it would also contribute to enhancing the patients and their families’ satisfaction with medical treatment. ĦĦĦĦMr. Bai Zhipeng (°×ÖŞĊó), the vice director of Chinese Medical Equipment Association said that similar products were generally used for special patients in large hospitals and also played role in grass-roots hospitals.
